About Me

Hello, and thanks for visiting Love at First Page!

When it comes to books, I’m the girl who likes her romance and likes her swoon! That includes everything from young adult to new adult to adult, from paranormal to fantasy to historical, though contemporary will always be my favorite. I collect book boyfriends like it’s my only hobby, and I’ll always be a happy ending girl. In my free time when I’m not reading, you can usually find me at the movies or sleeping in bed or watching football (go Giants!). I have a thing for Keira Knightley, Pepsi, pedicures, and tattoos.

But let’s cut to the chase. Every blogger has something she is known for or something that makes her blog stand out; for me, it’s the fact that I hate love triangles with a fiery passion. My hatred is possibly probably definitely unhealthy. But I’m going to take a second to let it all out. To me, there is no love triangle that’s “done right”. It’s the very IDEA of them that I don’t support, so I can’t ever enjoy one. I don’t like that someone’s heart is torn between two different people, that one person in the equation gives it everything while the other is leaving pieces for someone else. I don’t like rooting for a boy knowing that the girl has feelings for someone else as well. I feel personally betrayed on his behalf. And it’s not a matter of me being afraid that I’ll cheer for the wrong guy in the end; I want there to be only one guy to cheer for. Simply put, I like my romances to be between two people only, and watching those two go through the normal progression of having a relationship. I might miss out on some good books, but because romance is My Favorite Thing, I just can’t stomach a book that has a love triangle. I read because I enjoy it. Love triangles make me sick on the inside. Ergo, reading a book with one is not an enjoyable experience and not worth it.

Rant over! If there’s anything more you’d like to know, just ask! xo
